This webinar will explore how geosciences can contribute to supporting sustainable and climate-resilient development and energy decarbonisation.
Case studies drawn from projects recently delivered by RSK Geosciences will be used to illustrate key aspects, such as supporting beneficial reuse of brownfield land, managing and reusing soil and materials and using geophysics to optimise intrusive site investigation. The webinar will also discuss some of the key current challenges in the sector that will need to be overcome to help it respond to the climate and nature crises facing society.

Dr Tom Henman
Director, RSK Geosciences
Tom is a director of RSK Geosciences and has over 25 yearsβ experience in the assessment and management of land affected by contamination. He has wide experience of advising clients on land contamination and waste management issues in support of brownfield and infrastructure development projects and to meet legislative requirements, and his work has been recognised in several industry awards. In his current role, Tom is responsible for driving sustainability and innovation within RSK Geosciences and leads specialist teams in these areas. He is a Chartered Chemist and Scientist and a registered Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC). Tom is recent past Chair of the SiLC Professional and Technical Panel (PTP) and Deputy Chair of the SiLC Board. He is also a trustee and board member of the Green Action Trust.
