Blade Engineering

RSK has been supporting clients in the renewable energy sector for more than 20 years and knows that wind power is an integral part of the strategy that will help to achieve a net-zero emissions and carbon-free future.

Asset inspection and preventive maintenance are critical to maximising energy output and ensuring a return on investment for any wind turbine, regardless of the manufacturer. CAN Renewables, an RSK company built around its clients’ needs, combines expertise in renewable energy and practical technical solutions to deliver global, multibrand blade engineering services.

An environment we understand

CAN Renewables draws on RSK’s and CAN’s decades of experience in supporting clients’ energy generation requirements, including on- and offshore wind energy generation. In an environment we understand, our goal is to work safely to protect rotor blades, enhance performance and prolong asset life.

The company draws on its experience as an operations and maintenance contractor to offer a collaborative technical approach combining multiblade experience with an understanding of the challenges facing the energy sector.

Safety and well-being come first

Sister company CAN Structures enhances our offer as a leader in the infrastructure sector. The company utilises in-house design engineers to manufacture bespoke access equipment to help deliver work safely and efficiently. Its plant and equipment fabrication facility ensure that the right tools are built for each client’s project. Designs are externally tested and CE marked. A highly qualified team inspects, maintains and recertifies the equipment in-house.

Keeping the blades turning

CAN Renewables recognises the unique challenges of cost efficiency, turbine downtime and energy optimisation that face the renewable energy sector. To allay these concerns with regards to turbine blades, the blade team has the technical credentials that ensure that condition assessment, repair and protection methods deliver blade endurance and conservation.

A global network and capability

We use our varied expertise across landscape planning, design and management to assess the characteristics, history and potential of the site and its landscape context, and to understand the needs of land owners, managers and users.
