Treefellers, founded in Chester, UK, in 2003, specialises in mechanical tree and vegetation clearance using the latest machinery and techniques, working across Cheshire, North Wales and occasionally nationwide on a range of sites, including rail, civil engineering and brownfield sites. It has the capability and experience to provide safe, efficient and cost-effective large-scale tree and vegetation clearance services for civil engineering and groundwork purposes and works with some of the UK’s leading building and civil engineering contractors on high-profile projects.

Commercial tree surgery and tree removal services are available to fulfil long-term arboriculture and tree surgery contracts and management of large tree stocks. Treefellers’ experienced tree surgeon teams regularly work in demanding locations using safe systems of work, including in parks, open spaces and public rights of way, schools and universities, waterways and sensitive environmental areas such as sites of special scientific interest and nature reserves. All work is undertaken in adherence to BS 3998:2010 ‘tree work – recommendations’ when appropriate.

Domestic tree surgery and tree removal services are provided to property owners throughout Cheshire, North Wales and surrounding areas and include tree removal, tree pruning, crown raising, crown reduction, crown thinning, pollarding, reshaping, formative tree pruning, epicormic and basal growth removal and hedge cutting, amongst others. An emergency call out service is also available.

Treefellers’ teams are experienced in undertaking major and minor tree and scrub clearance works to facilitate rail improvement works, as well as undertaking vegetation control services for the maintenance of the railway infrastructure throughout the UK. This includes providing vegetation clearance teams, equipment and access options for difficult-to-access areas. Its skilled rope access technicians are Industrial Rope Access Trade Association trained and hold National Proficiency Tests Council and Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualifications in the plant and machinery they operate, as well as holding Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.

Treefellers can offer stump removal and treatment services, including stump grinding, a quick and efficient method of removing unwanted free stumps, as well as mechanical stump excavation and processing, which enables the excavation of the entire root stock and the breakdown of material for processing with just one machine. Chemical stump treatment is available for the treatment of stumps with either herbicide or eco-plugs to prevent regrowth.

A variety of one-off or long-term contract forestry contractor services is available, including forestry mulching, timber extraction, winching and manual and mechanical tree felling.
