PD&MS Group
Operating since 2002, PD&MS, along with its group companies Synergie Environ and Optimus (joining the group in 2021 and 2022 respectively), is a specialist engineering services company within the energy transition sector, helping some of the biggest names in the energy industry to transition toward decarbonisation and net zero.
Located in Aberdeen, with an operations base in Azerbaijan, the company employs 700 full-time and contract personnel, offering full-life-cycle solutions for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and decommissioning (EPCCD) and is a major player in the UK and Caspian regions (80% UK, 20% overseas, mainly in Baku).
As international economies move towards their net zero targets, PD&MS Group deals with all critical assets, with a particular expertise in brownfield developments. It has an exceptional reputation and track record of growth and diversification through periods of market transition. With the company’s foundations in oil and gas services, it is now using its transferrable skills on projects and to build momentum within renewables and low carbon.
Synergie Environ is a Glasgow-based consultancy, working to develop innovative solutions to help cut carbon consumption and cost across a range of industries, including energy, power generation and storage, pharmaceuticals, waste and sustainable material and transportation. It has helped over 500 businesses to date, resulting in an estimated carbon reduction of 1 million tonnes of CO2.
Optimus, also based in Aberdeen, is an engineering consultancy with over 20 years’ experience of providing innovative front-end engineering solutions across the oil and gas and renewables sectors.
PD&MS has long-term framework agreements in place with major clients such as BP, with £18 billion of investment in the UK by 2030 to support energy transition, and Repsol Sinopec, with €15 billion on renewable sources by 2025.
