Established in 2015, Hydrofix is a marine geoscience consultancy based in Tattenhall, Cheshire, UK, specialising in offshore site investigation, seabed preparation and construction consultancy support throughout the project life cycle.

With a core team of eight skilled hydrographic surveyors and geophysicists, Hydrofix offers a broad range of geoscience services across the primary marine sectors of offshore renewables (including wind, tide and wave energy sites), power distribution and telecommunications. Hydrofix has extensive experience in the oil and gas, aggregates and dredging sectors. Key customers include E.ON, Vattenfall, Ørsted, RWE, Global Marine Group and James Fisher Subtech. It provides clients with tailored geoscience consultancy support, working on complex, challenging and environmentally sensitive sites.

With extensive cross-industry experience, Hydrofix can provide a full and comprehensive service to prepare and manage the site investigation and seabed preparation process, supporting both developers and contractors from desktop study to decommissioning.

Although based in the UK, Hydrofix’s physical site works have thus far mainly been focused on the north-west region of Europe; however, an expansion focus has included projects in Japan, Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The team is committed to working with clients to deliver an integrated service focusing on safety, quality and efficiency, with a core focus on all aspects of geophysics and geomatics.

The company has established key relationships with industry partners to further include geotechnics, metocean and unexploded ordnance (UXO) consultancy, ensuring that it is uniquely placed to support projects throughout all stages of development.

With a core in-house team with combined experience in all aspects of marine survey and geomatics across all industry sectors, the company is well versed in supporting the management and development of large-scale projects.
