Ground Remediation Systems
Ground Remediation Systems (GRS), established in 2004 with bases in Bristol and Manchester in the UK, provides effective air, soil and water treatment solutions, systems and support for the remediation industry. It is a major driving force in the supply and installation of high-end remediation equipment, providing an integrated service to help contractors and consultants deliver their own remediation solutions.
GRS provides expert guidance on design, permits and consents associated with remediation and water management. Using its mobile treatment licence and environmental permits, it is able to deploy remedial solutions in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. A comprehensive range of services is offered, including discharge consents; abstraction licences; remediation options appraisals; strategy, implementation and action plans; method statements and system design; WAMITAB/Certificate of Technical Competence supervision and inspection; silt management plans; and hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies.
Custom remediation systems and technologies can be designed, fabricated, installed and commissioned, providing a wide range of technical solutions for contaminated land and groundwater, whether in situ or ex situ, for clients in the UK and worldwide. Various technologies are used, such as dual-phase extraction (DPE), multi-phase extraction (MPE), soil vapour extraction (SVE), groundwater pump and treat systems, light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) and dense non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) skimming and more.
GRS offers a comprehensive range of water and silt management solutions for construction sites, including tailored silt management plans, site inspections, advice and compliance recommendations. Passive solutions and full treatment plant options can be provided. Site evaluations can be undertaken to identify potential silt-related risks, and guidance on the most effective measures to mitigate them is provided.
A wide array of water treatment equipment and solutions to meet site-specific needs and compliance requirements is available, ranging from off-the-shelf to bespoke water treatment systems. Services range from supplying individual water treatment equipment to designing, building, installing and operating bespoke, full-scale water treatment plants for the treatment of contaminated water. Water treatment equipment such as pumps, lamellas, oilβwater separators, carbon filtration vessels, sand filtration vessels, polymer dosing systems and pH correction units are available. Operation and maintenance services can also be undertaken for water treatment plants to ensure efficiency and effectiveness over time.
GRS have worked on numerous large-scale projects, such as a water and silt management systems, and water treatment systems in the UK and Ireland.
