Enviresearch
Enviresearch, formed in 2001, with bases in Newcastle, UK, and Lisbon, Portugal, provides regulatory and risk assessment services for the global chemical industry.
Enviresearch offers a range of regulatory and risk assessment services to support activities concerning the registration and use of chemicals, under several key regulatory frameworks. Much of the business’s work involves modelling the fate of chemicals in the environment, with a key focus on agricultural pesticides. It has developed its own plant production risk assessment modelling product, Acre. Its dedicated group of consultants comes from a diverse range of backgrounds: agronomy, chemistry, environmental fate, ecology, endocrine disruption, risk assessment and regulatory affairs.
Enviresearch has more than 20 years’ experience in providing services to assist agrochemical producers with navigating the plant protection product regulations in the EU and UK, and it supports companies in registering products from insecticides and molluscicides to herbicides and fungicides in many EU countries. Using its in-depth understanding of the regulatory principles combined with expert scientific knowledge on delivering dossier services, the business ensures compliance with the latest regulatory developments. From data gap analysis and study contracting and monitoring to submitting completed dossiers to the competent authorities, it can take product registration from initial stages to authorisation and getting product onto the market.
Enviresearch can provide services relating to biocides, helping businesses in planning and implementing regulatory strategies for supporting active substance approvals and product authorisations under the EU and UK Biocidal Products Regulation. Services include regulatory advice and support, data gap analysis and product authorisation strategies, preparation of active substance and product dossiers using IUCLID software, biocidal product family concept (biocidal products with similar uses and the same active substance), human health and environmental risk assessment, design and management of efficacy trials, technical equivalence applications, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) assessments, registrations under national schemes and EU authorisation holding.
The business can assist with industrial consumer chemicals by finding solutions for any data deficiencies, offer strategic advice on compliance for substance or product portfolio and provide representation in client substance information exchange forums (SIEF) or consortiums. Other services include registration, authorisation and notification services, preparation of technical dossiers using IUCLID software, substances of very high concern (SVHC) compliance services and preparation of chemical safety reports (CSR) and safety data sheets (SDS).
Enviresearch is a member of Crop Health and Protection (CHP) and operates within the frameworks of ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001. Some of its clients include Barclay Crop Protection, the Fertiliser Manufacturers Association (FMA) and Nutrel.
