BGT Hungaria Kft
BGT Hungaria Environmental Technology, formed in 1992 and based in Hungary, operates internationally, providing consultancy services in the fields of environmental consulting and remediation technology.
The business offers a wide range of environmental consulting services, including environmental auditing, focusing on investigations relating to industrial property, as well as environmental impact assessments (EIA). Its full range of field and laboratory investigations include drilling, sampling, chemical analysis and hydrogeological testing to determine the presence (or absence) of contaminants in the environment.
Environmental risk valuation, risk-based corrective action (RBCA) evaluation and liability management services are offered to investigate specific targeted contaminants, ensuring that the environmental liability and therefore the financial liability of projects are considered prior to commencement. Senior consultants within BGT have both experience and expertise and have participated in the Concerted Action on Risk Assessment for Contaminated Sites in Europe (CARACAS) and Contaminated Land Rehabilitation Network for Environmental Technologies Management (CLARINET), ensuring proficiency in environmental consulting and dealing with local authorities with a solid background in environmental law.
BGT Hungaria has initiated an approach in Hungary to set up long-term site management programmes to manage large-scale contaminated megasites by establishing risk-based priority ranking and task lists. This service is called the βroad map to environmental complianceβ. It has been successfully introduced at large Hungarian petrochemical megasites, with authority acceptance. BGT Hungaria is one of the most experienced companies in complex contaminated land management services in Hungary.
Multinational industrial companies, such as US-based manufacturers, GE, GM-Opel, Delphi, Carl Zeiss, Shell, MOL (Hungaryβs national oil company) and TVK (a major petrochemical company), as well as upstream and downstream divisions of international oil companies, are among its major clients.
