Geological services provided include detailed assessments and descriptions of soil samples, focusing on dating and the environment of the sample. These tests are carried out by specially trained geologists and are essential for further geotechnical assessment. These tests also include determination of water content, which is of great importance when classifying parameters of soil, as well as when assessing whether the soil is suitable for any potential foundation works to be carried out.

The team is able to undertake environmental engineering studies involving soil analysis in connection with the disposal of excess soil, delineation of known contamination and documentation of compliance. It can also handle liaison with authorities throughout an entire project, including the preparation of a proposal for a land management plan, notification of land relocation, application for a section 8 permit and the downgrading of plots or areas.

4AP-Geoteknik provides compaction and deposition checks using isotope probe methods or static plate load tests, providing measurements of the materials’ degree of compaction.

Establishment of wastewater seepage facilities where traditional sewerage facilities are not available can be accommodated in accordance with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations. 4AP-Geoteknik can provide analysis and studies via borehole tests and groundwater measurement.

4AP-Geoteknik has the expertise to undertake raw materials surveys, which involve drilling a number of test holes to determine the extent of the raw materials. Soil samples are taken for further laboratory analysis and reporting.
