Ground Heat, a market leader in ground source heat pumps and battery storage, joined RSK in 2020. Based in Wigan, UK, the business employs 15 people and has been a pioneer of renewable heating since its inception in 2006. It designs and installs systems for both commercial and domestic applications; notable projects include the first system in Europe to use coaxial bores, installed in 2018 at Albion Towers in Salford, UK, and three projects for Salix Homes in 2019–20 that used the most advanced remote-monitoring system in Europe.

Ground source heat pumps offer a reliable, efficient and long-term heating solution that delivers many environmental benefits. Ground Heat has won many honours for its innovative designs, including at the British Renewable Energy Awards (2016 and 2017) and the National Energy Efficiency Awards (2018). It also has a strong working relationship with Geocore, an RSK company that provides ground source drilling services. Now, through its experienced heating engineers, RSK can offer end-to-end, low-carbon heat solutions to a wider client base.
