Azerbaijan Environment and Technology Centre (AETC) Ltd is a wholly owned RSK company with an in-country office, established in 1998. Among AETC’s strengths are regional knowledge, a good understanding of regulatory requirements, sound relationships with local technical experts and language skills.
The company is a dynamic partnership that successfully combines the best in Azerbaijani and western expertise to provide a comprehensive range of environmental, technological and health and safety services. These have been applied to a significant number of off- and onshore projects in the Caspian region, including environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA); baseline, monitoring and reinstatement surveys; environmental due-diligence audits; health and safety services (control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessments, health, safety and environment audits, fire safety audits); health, safety, security and environment management systems; and compliance support. Clients include multinationals such as BP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Total and Technip, and local companies and consortia such as Azpetrol, Caspian Geophysical and Salyan Oil.
AETC has conducted ESIAs for all phases of oil and gas development, both on- and offshore, including seismic surveys, exploration and appraisal drilling, pipeline construction and refurbishment, full field development and terminal and loading facilities. A number of projects in which AETC has participated have been funded by international financial institutions and were, therefore, conducted to the highest internationally recognised standards, in line with lender requirements.
AETC has provided a wide range of services to its clients under single projects and as master services agreements, including the secondment of personnel. We continue to build on our good and long-term working relationships with clients and local experts, and owing to the introduction of new technologies in the energy sector, AETC is exploring new opportunities to provide internationally recognised expertise to exciting new projects in Azerbaijan.
