Home to some of the world’s most varied biomes and 20 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Great Barrier Reef, Australia also experiences some of the world’s most extreme weather events. Drought, floods, extreme heat and bushfires are features of the region that require tailored, multifaceted solutions. RSK significantly expanded its presence to Australia in 2021 and since then has grown and diversified to offer its signature multidisciplinary offering, combining environmental, engineering and design consulting services with a suite of environmental solutions.

Connected to RSK’s global network of experts, our businesses deliver real-world, sustainable solutions: from remediation of contaminated land, hazardous materials management, built and urban heritage, archaeology, expert witness and project management to planning, design and construction across every aspect of the water cycle. We also specialise in decarbonisation and climate resilience consulting and environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy and reporting.

Importantly, we champion an entrepreneurial culture – diverse in structure, people, expertise and thinking – equipping us to help solve the complex challenges faced in the region from our offices across Australia, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Parkes, Perth and Sydney. As part of one of our projects, the Wamuran Irrigation Scheme, we are designing and building a 22 km pipeline network and pumping infrastructure to deliver some 2.6 gigalitres of Class A water per year to the region’s growers, reusing a valuable resource and diverting discharge from local river systems.

Our vision is to become a leader in the Australian engineering, water, energy, infrastructure and environmental consulting industries, delivering a complete service across the region and enabling opportunity and progress for the people, businesses and communities we work alongside. We see particular growth in the renewables sector and are poised to provide energy transition solutions for wind, solar and new grid transmission development across the region. Our work in Australia is a crucial part of our 2030 Global Growth Strategy, with the country earmarked for significant expansion over the next few years.
