Prompt services help to keep solar park development on track
Natewood Farm Solar Park in East Sussex, UK, is home to 35,000 solar panels with the capacity to generate up to 8.8 MW. OPDE Group worked with RSK to meet Wealden District Council’s planning conditions, ensuring permission was granted for the construction of the 16.5-ha solar park. RSK, through DLP Planning Consultants, provided post-determination environmental services. As site clearance was already underway, RSK worked quickly to provide input, ensuring construction could begin without costly delays.
RSK’s services included pollution prevention, emergency procedures and noise, waste and ecological management, and producing a site environmental plan. All the inputs were provided promptly and to Wealden District Council’s satisfaction, thus planning permission was granted allowing the development to proceed. DLP Planning Consultants wished to amend the scheme just before construction began. To avoid delays to construction, RSK helped DLP to demonstrate that the amended scheme discharged the planning conditions.
