On 3 October, RSK attended the TransCityRail North event at the Principal Hotel in Manchester, UK. The conference, exhibition and networking dinner focused on Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) and the £70 billion of planned investment into infrastructure across the region and the opportunities this brings for the supply chain. RSK was also an associate sponsor for the networking dinner.
“Northern Powerhouse Rail will be transformational for the north – changing the way people live, work and play – key to its delivery is a robust supply chain that can deliver. TransCityRail is a great opportunity for us to engage with the supply chain, preparing them for an exciting programme of works ahead,” commented Tim Wood, NPR Director, Transport for the North, before the event.
Attracting high-profile key stakeholders such as Anna-Jane Hunter, Network Rail’s Director for North of England Rail, Network Rail, Transport for the North and HS2, the dinner presented a unique opportunity to network, collaborate and trade with industry peers.
“As a business based in the North of England, RSK is proud to support this event,” said RSK Rail Business Development Director Adrian Calder. “It was great to hear about the progress of Northern Powerhouse Rail and other successes and plans for the rail network across the North.”
