RSK shortlisted for the 2021 CN Awards

July 05, 2021

RSK has been shortlisted at this year’s Construction News (CN) Awards. Following its successful nomination in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Excellence (Company) category, RSK joins seven peers in contention for the award. In its 25th year, the CN Awards ceremony will take place on 15 September 2021 in London.

This year’s awards will “celebrate the people, pride and passion of the [construction] industry”, marking the achievements of businesses and individuals. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Excellence (Company) category, for which RSK is shortlisted, aims to recognise “outstanding performance in health and safety” and the achievement of “exemplary standards”. In this category, the panel of judges will be looking out for: the outcomes of initiatives and actions to tackle mental health; commitments to staff training; the health and safety culture within the business and a commitment to extending this through the supply chain; and projects that highlight this commitment to the highest standards of health, safety and well-being.

A judging panel made up of more than 70 independent industry experts and representatives from major clients will decide who will receive the award from the shortlisted nominees. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Excellence (Company) award will go to the company that the judging panel believes can best demonstrate outstanding performance in health and safety during the past 18 months. This year’s CN Awards will “recognise amazing projects, technical innovations and forward thinking companies”, especially so in regard to well-being in what has been a challenging year. A new award for this year, for which “exceptional entrants” in all categories are eligible, will recognise the efforts made to work “better, safer, [and] more efficiently” in the face of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognising the particular issues faced over this past year, this special award will celebrate the best of the construction industry and how it has responded to the pandemic.

RSK is proud of its track record of excellence in health, safety and well-being and is pleased that this has been endorsed by the CN Awards in this nomination.
