RSK shortlisted for edie Sustainability Leaders Award

We are delighted to announce that RSK has been shortlisted for the Business of the Year Award at the edie Sustainability Leaders Awards 2022. The world’s largest sustainable business awards and now in their 15th year, the awards champion bold and brilliant climate leadership. This year, they received more than 300 entries across 23 categories.

The shortlisting for the Business of the Year Award recognises that RSK has taken its environmental, social and financial performance to the next level and has demonstrated a clear scale-up, throughout the business, of its sustainability activity to tackle the global challenges presented by the climate and environmental emergency.

RSK is a rapidly growing organisation wholly committed to achieving sustainability in all that it does. Although RSK has recognised and championed the importance of sustainability for more than 30 years, the business has significantly ramped up its sustainability efforts over the past year.

Most importantly, RSK has formally linked its sustainability performance to its bottom line. In August 2021, the company agreed the largest ever sustainability-linked private credit financing package with Ares Management Corporation. The £1 billion finance facilities will fuel RSK’s growth strategy, which is built directly on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and includes an annual margin review based on sustainability targets including carbon intensity reduction and continual improvement to health and safety, and ethics. We have exciting plans to launch a Centre for Sustainability Excellence this year and our RSK 2030 strategy will have sustainability at its core as we continue to grow.

On the announcement of the 2022 finalists, edie’s content director, Luke Nicholls, commented, “All of this year’s finalists have shifted from talking about a net-zero carbon, just transition to actually delivering it, at scale and at pace.”

Sustainability has long been at the heart of our business, but we have taken considerable strides in the past year to push ourselves to do more. As we continue to grow RSK into a leading provider of sustainability services, it is imperative that we do all we can to minimise our own impact on the planet.”

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, UK, on 2 February 2022.
