Once the festivities are over and the decorations are taken down, RSK Raw and RSK Asbestos will again be supporting the St Mary’s Hospice treecycling scheme in Birmingham, UK. RSK Raw has been involved with the initiative since 2015, with RSK Asbestos joining them last year. The teams will be spending a weekend in January driving around the local area in RSK vans to collect used Christmas trees, all to raise money for the hospice.
Since it was launched nine years ago, the fundraising scheme has raised an incredible amount of money for local families living with life-limiting illnesses. Last January, 4500 trees were collected and recycled with the help of 150 volunteers and more than 50 vehicles, raising an amazing £83,000. RSK Raw and RSK Asbestos will again be out in force the weekend of 16–17 January.
If you are in the Birmingham or wider West Midlands area and want to recycle your Christmas tree, take a look at the website.
