RSK companies 12 times finalists at the Water Industry Awards 2022
May 04, 2022The Water Industry Awards 2022 finalists have been revealed, with three RSK businesses nominated for 12 awards.
Each year, leaders across the water industry come together to celebrate the achievements of water companies, utilities and their partners at the Water Industry Awards evening. The awards aim to recognise โthe very best practice from the frontline of the water sectorโ, celebrating the work of individuals as well as businesses.
The 2022 finalists announcement last week saw RSK group companies Binnies, MWH Treatment and WRc shortlisted for a collective 12 awards.
Binnies is shortlisted for four awards: Digitalisation Project of the Year for its work on the Intelligent Dam Monitoring System (iDMS); Asset Management Initiative of the Year for its digital and dynamic asset management plans; Consultancy of the Year; and Pollution Mitigation Initiative of the Year โ a new award introduced to recognise those businesses โtackling one of the most pressing issuesโ facing the water sector.
Also nominated for four awards, MWH Treatment will go up against Binnies for Digitalisation Project of the Year with its Thames Gateway Project. The company has also been shortlisted for Health and Safety Initiative of the Year for MView+; Net Zero Carbon Initiative of the Year for its net zero route map; and Contractor of the Year. Its collaboration through the CMDP joint venture to service the Southern Water Framework also places the company in a further two award categories: Natural Capital Initiative of the Year and Wastewater Innovation Project of the Year.
Finally, rounding up the groupโs nominations, WRc has also been shortlisted in the Asset Management Initiative of the Year category for the Expert Resin Lining Group (ERLG) and UKAS-accredited Nominated Certifying Body initiative and in the Wastewater Innovation Project of the Year category for its WRcCSO tool.
โThese awards are a testament to our commitment to delivering effective and sustainable solutions for the water industry. RSK group has a strong presence in UK water and across the globe. We are pleased with our efforts to lead on digitalisation, with Binnies and MWH Treatment both being recognised for their digital offerings. The centre will focus on sustainable development in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,โ said Mark Smith, RSK Group Director, Water.
