RSK has launched a new business, RSK Environment Switzerland GmbH, as it continues its global expansion. Operating from Olten, Switzerland, the business will provide a wide range of environmental services to a variety of clients predominantly in the construction, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical, and engineering sectors.
Its services will include:
- remediation and investigation of contaminated sites
- building contaminant assessments and remediation
- environmental due diligence and environmental compliance audits
- EHS consultancy.
The multi lingual team will be led by Senior Geologist Ueli Schindler, and operate across the whole of Switzerland, serving both local and nationwide clients. Ueli has over 25 years’ experience in environmental investigations and environmental management. During this time, he has performed environmental assessments of more than 650 sites. Ueli has a thorough knowledge of both environmental regulations and practical aspects of environmental investigations. His involvement in numerous environmental due diligence assessments means that he is also very familiar with practical aspects of risk assessment, audition and environmental classification of sites.
“I am excited to lead RSK’s new team in Switzerland,” commented Ueli. “RSK recently renewed a contract with a major energy company in the oil and gas sector, which now includes a lot in Switzerland. This will see RSK provide support with various aspects of soil and groundwater works, globally. Our office in Olten will act as a base from which to fulfil the Switzerland lot on the contract, to RSK’s high standards. The new business will also open up additional opportunities in Switzerland and enable us to further support our multinational clients, many of whom operate in Switzerland.”
Ueli will be supported by Associate Professional/Geologist, Nergui Gombojav and Junior Professional/Environmental Engineer, Christian Egli.
“We have already established close connections with RSK’s existing teams in the DACH region, especially with the environmental teams in Germany and Austria,” continues Ueli. “Our relationships with RSK’s other teams in central and eastern Europe are also developing and we look forward to further group-wide collaboration.
“We are excited to expand our team and services, particularly in the EHS and environmental due diligence sectors”.
