From 21 June to 2 July 2021, Binnies and RSK will join global water leaders, experts and professionals at one of the world’s leading water events: Singapore International Water Week. This year taking place virtually, the two-week event promises to provide a global platform to share and co-create innovative, sustainable water solutions through a programme of keynote speeches, thematic webinars, workshops and networking opportunities, as well as a virtual exhibition featuring more than 100 exhibitors.
As one of the 12 founding sponsors of the event, Binnies (previously Black & Veatch’s water businesses in Europe and Asia), will be taking part in a variety of talks and presentations across the two-week period. Kicking things off, RSK Chief Executive Officer and founder Alan Ryder will be speaking as one of the eight panelists in the first plenary session on Monday, 21 June. Entitled “Fostering Innovation and Collaboration: Overcoming Challenges for Water Sustainability,” the session will showcase different approaches to innovation by stakeholders such as governments, utilities, academia and industry, and how embracing an innovative mindset and working collaboratively can uncover opportunities to achieve water sustainability. The session will be moderated by Scott Dunn, VP, Asia, AECOM and Sharad Somani, Partner and Head of Infrastructure, Asia Pacific, KMPG Singapore.
Later in the week, Binnies will participate in the event’s Innovative to Practice Series taking place on Tuesday, 22 June. In the session entitled “Digital Blueprint for Water Utility Companies – Data Driven Decision Making”, Mark Kaney, Binnies Director of Asset Management, will co-present with Aarhus Vand, Denmark’s leading water utility company. The presentation will discuss the benefits of implementing a first of its kind digital blueprint across the water utility business.
22 June promises to be a busy day, as Binnies Digital Products and Services Director, Chris Steele, will also officially launch Binnies Helix digital twin platform in the event’s Product/Technology showcase and, during two ‘Up Close and Personal’ sessions, Binnies and RSK will showcase new videos that focus on branding, strategy and what it life is like at RSK and Binnies. We will also deliver six oral and poster presentations between 25 to 29 June, with an additional Innovative to Practice session where Amphos 21 will present on “Technological Solutions on Early Warning of Water Quality.” You can view the full event programme here.
As the must-attend event for water leaders, professionals and experts, the event promises to provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase Binnies and RSK as thought leaders in the global water sector and will no doubt provide numerous opportunities for networking as well as an opportunity to build on the success of the newly-established Binnies brand.
