Looking good from the InsideOut

January 31, 2020

Following last weekโ€™s excellent news that RSK has been shortlisted for five REBA Awards, it has also been named a finalist at the InsideOut Awards.

The InsideOut Mental Health Awards celebrate our mental health and the people and organisations who champion it. RSK is a finalist in the Employer Innovation category which commends employers who have demonstrated the most innovative approach to mental health.

RSK Human Resources Director Zoe Brunswick told the judges that โ€œas an organisation, RSK wanted to demonstrate its commitment to changing the way we all think and act about mental health in the workplace. Having previously been involved with some of the Time to Change activities, we felt that signing the employer pledge would be a good start. However, it was important to us that whatever we did was inclusive and not just something for senior management to get behind. We wanted employees to feel involved and to have an opportunity to pledge their support to the businessโ€™s commitment.

โ€œFor a global business like RSK, this was going to be a challenge, so we put our creative hats on and came up with the idea of jigsaw pieces that would represent all the divisions of the RSK group. The idea was that the jigsaw pieces could travel around the group, one piece with each divisional director, be signed by our employees and then be brought together to form the finished jigsaw.

โ€œAlongside this, we have designed a pack of safety, health, environment and quality playing cards that feature a well-being suit (the hearts of course), which can be used in meetings as well-being moments or as conversation starters to raise awareness of the things that can affect our mental health and well-being.โ€

Winners will be announced at an award ceremony on 26 March in London, UK. Fingers crossed for some more good news then!
