Leap Environmental joins RSK Group

August 05, 2021

RSK Group Ltd (RSK), is delighted to announce the addition of Leap Environmental to its growing portfolio.

Leap Environmental, an award-winning geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation and consulting business, provides sustainable engineering solutions to the construction industry, local authorities and landowners.

This deal is the latest acquisition by RSK and closely follow that of CS2, which was announced earlier this week. RSK already owns more than 100 businesses that deliver end-to-end solutions in a wide range of sectors.

Leap Environmental, which provides services to the public and private sectors, including clients in the construction industry and local and national government, will retain all its current brand, employees, leadership, values and strategy. The business will continue to focus on its core service range but will now be able to offer a much wider range of services through sister companies.

Based in south-east England, Leap Environmental specialises in areas including land quality and contaminated land assessment, quantitative risk assessment for soil, gas and water, as well as geotechnical engineering and other services.

The business becomes part of RSK’s Geosciences and Engineering division with the backing and direction of George Tuckwell, Divisional Director and a member of the main RSK Group Limited Board of Directors.

Richard Brinkworth

Richard Brinkworth, who retains his role as Managing Director of Leap Environmental, said,

“After exploring options for the future of the business and a period of getting to know more about RSK, we are incredibly optimistic about what this acquisition will mean for Leap Environmental and for each of our employees.

“Our business will continue as normal but, as we move to new ownership within a larger organisation, we will have the support needed to fuel our continued growth, development and excellent reputation.”

Alan Ryder, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RSK, added,

“I am delighted to welcome Leap Environmental to RSK and feel extremely confident that our complementary services, together with our shared ethos, will enable us to work very well together.

“We have set out to grow RSK, strengthening our position as a leading environmental, engineering and technical services business, to ensure that we can deliver practical solutions to our clients’ problems. Leap Environmental adds additional strength to our already dominant position in site investigation and geotechnical services and I am excited to help the leadership team develop the business even further.”
