ADAS Operations Director Andrew Walker has announced that he is taking early retirement after 35 years with ADAS. Andrew joined ADAS (an RSK company) in 1985 and, during that time, has seen many changes including privatisation in 1997 and ADAS becoming part of the RSK Group in 2016.
Andrew received his BSc from the University of Huddersfield before joining ADAS as a member of the research team based in Nottingham. In the 35 years since, he has worked his way up from team manager through to executive director and finally operations director, all while completing a Bachelor of Laws degree through the Open University!
Andrew, reflecting on his time with ADAS, said: “It has been a very varied and diverse time, encompassing many challenging and rewarding experiences. Everything I have done has been achieved with the camaraderie, help and support of the people around me – some were colleagues on day 1 and are still colleagues now (day 12,700 approximately!) and we have been through a lot together. Those experiences will be lasting memories, I am sure.”

It seems that no one can stay away from RSK for too long, however, as Andrew has already returned to RSK in a new role!
Andrew will now be the business integration partner for RSK’s agriculture, land and property management (ALPM) division and will help with the integration process for new acquisitions coming into ALPM. It seems that he already has a busy schedule, given the news that WRc and Cognica joined ALPM this month.
We wish Andrew the best of luck in his new role.
