ADAS employees complete socially distanced 5k

August 23, 2020

We are pleased to report that the ADAS team taking on an innovative socially distanced 5km charity run have successfully completed the challenge, raising more than £300 in the process.

On 19 July, a team from the ADAS (an RSK company) Avonmouth, UK, office put on their running shoes and individually took part in the 5km charity run at their different home locations. They were all together in spirit, however, spurring each other on through WhatsApp!

The team had originally planned to complete a Tough Mudder challenge for charity earlier this year, but then the world came to a standstill and everything was put on hold. Instead, the team kept up with their original training, albeit individually, and thought of an innovative way to get fitter, support each other and raise money for charity while keeping safe and maintaining social distancing.

Their excellent efforts have seen them raise an incredible £341 for two charities: WaterAid and the World Land Trust. But there is still time to donate!

If you would like to sponsor the team, please visit their JustGiving pages: JustGiving page for WaterAid and JustGiving page for the World Land Trust.
