As 2019 marks the 90th year of the Landscape Institute, its regional branches are hosting special celebrations focusing on people, places and the future (#LI90).
As the North West branch chair, RSK senior landscape architect Serena Welton was tasked with organising her region’s event: ‘A Window in Time’. On 15 August, the North West branch’s celebrations got underway with a team treasure hunt around Manchester city centre. Teams looked for clues and answered questions about the history and development of the city using a special gaming app designed exclusively for the event by Place Jam.
The evening concluded with a BBQ and socialising at Dukes 92 Castlefield, where the teams made models based on the theme of play and children in the city. Representatives from RSK’s Manchester and Helsby landscape teams attended. A great night was had by all, especially by RSK consultant landscape architect Emily Wilkinson who was part of the winning team!
Special thanks go to event partners the Landscape Institute, Place Jam and Hardscape.
