RSK to moderate forum championing sustainability in Hungary

April 16, 2021

Ferenc Kis, RSK’s European Business Development Director, will moderate a discussion for business leaders at the upcoming virtual V4 ESG Conference, organised by the Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) on Tuesday, 27 April 2021.

The HBLF, initiated by Prince Charles almost 30 years ago, is focused on promoting Hungary’s sustainable development, which would be impossible without a healthy economy. It brings together four countries in the region, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, known as the V4 region, “to promote socially responsible investing within the region”. According to the official media material, the one-day environmental, social and governance (ESG) conference “will bring together companies within the region with ties to the investment community who want to understand trends and how these investment principles are driving global markets”. The online April conference will be the inaugural event and it will be streamed from the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Beginning at 09:00, Zsolt Jamniczky, chairman of the HBLF and E.ON board member, will deliver the opening remarks before the conference embarks on almost eight hours of highly informative and relevant talks, each divided into distinct subsections. In the afternoon, at 15:00, Ferenc will moderate a 45-minute segment with leading business figures from the region, including directors from KPMG and Siemens. He will pose questions regarding the main ESG principles to follow in strategy, action and reporting and how stakeholders are driving change and demanding better ESG performance from companies. The RSK director, working from home in Hungary, is looking forward to leading the five-person panel event: “The HBLF has organised a terrific event, and it is a unique opportunity to gather so many influential leaders from market-leading businesses in one place. It is also an opportunity to establish contacts and expand RSK’s reputation in Europe. In the past, I was a speaker at this type of event, so moderating will be different for me but I’m up for the challenge and am looking forward to shaping the conversation and hearing what the specialist panellists have to say about the main ESG principles concerning a company’s role in sustainability.”
