Rewild – Restore – Reconnect: Resilient, nature-based landscapes

Event date: April 07, 2021
Event: Wednesday, 7 April, 12:00–13:00

On Wednesday, 7 April 2021, RSK and the Landscape Institute will combine to host a free webinar to discuss and analyse rewilding in Britain. The Landscape Institute is the chartered body for the landscaping profession. RSK Director and Ecologist Jon Davies, and Andrew Tempany, Associate Director at RSK Landscape, will each present a segment during the 60-minute digital session. Both are specialists in their respective fields and they are looking forward to speaking about restoring our connections with nature, rewilding and nature-based landscape-architecture solutions.

“It is a terrific opportunity to reinforce just how vital these green spaces are to humanity, to the ecosystem and to biodiversity,” said Andrew.

“The event will hopefully highlight the importance of rewilding and focus people’s attention on the solutions needed,” added Jon.

According to the Landscape Institute North West’s promotional material, “the first decades of the 21st century have witnessed changes unprecedented in our times. There is a need now, more than ever, to make this century a new ‘ecological age’ and to restore our connections with nature.”
