Bird Survey Guidelines spread their wings

Event date: May 06, 2021

Missed the webinar? Watch again below.

Event: Thursday 6 May, 12:30–13:15

Currently, there is no industry-standard guidance for surveying breeding birds. In the next RSK Biocensus webinar, Dr Tim Hounsome, Managing Director, will tell you about the new guidelines that are about to be launched and the changes these will bring. Regardless of whether you can distinguish a bunting from a skylark, an awareness of these guidelines will be essential for anyone undertaking development on a site with any intrinsic value for breeding birds.

Tim will give an overview of how the guidelines were developed and speculate on what their future holds. By the end of the webinar, you will understand why consideration of the new guidelines may be vital for your projects. You will have heard an explanation of the practicalities of implementing the guidelines and how we can support you to meet the new requirements.

This exciting development has been a work in progress for several years but is now fully fledged and almost ready to fly. We hope you can join us.
